Pictures sent in (March 2004) by Mark Manausa of Granite Bay,
California; of his
Tama drum set. Awesome set Mark!
Mark writes:
Dear Sam, Just wanted to pass along a little thanks, for some high quality
rewrap materials, and all the instructions needed, to turn this old pile of
shells into some sweet music again. Here's the story: I bought this
set of Tama Imperial Stars twenty years ago, when I was 19. The set
consisted of (2) 24" bass drums, and tom sizes: 13, 14, 16, 18 with a
14x6.5 chrome snare. It was originally finished in black cherry color,
which held up pretty well over the years, considering I never had cases for
them. I wrapped them [half of the set] in classic black, added maple hoops to
the bass drum, and a Keller 13x7 snare. Are they beautiful or
what!!!! Two things: 1) I've got a set of DW's, but I really dig the
look and playability of this set, so these are going to be played out
often. 2) I've got the other half of these Tama's, which I will be
ordering materials for shortly. Thanks again Sam. Mark Manausa

Pictures sent in (July 2005) by Russ DiBella from Sicklerville, New Jersey of
his Tama drums. Wonderful work Russ!
Russ writes:
Sam, After researching a handful of drum wrap suppliers online,
I decided on Jammin Sam both for the color selection and price.
Then when I received the wraps I was further impressed with the
material, the precise cuts as ordered (including the 1/2" center
groove wrap we discussed for my bass hoops), and how well-protected
they were - boxed with Styrofoam peanuts, individually rolled in
packing paper, and clear coated.
Being able to apply the wraps while still in the clear protective
covering helped lessen my concern about scratching the finish and
as such made a fun project even easier. Also, the "how-to" video
on your site was helpful in both the research and application stages
and should help to curb any apprehension anyone may have.
My formerly metallic-white 1983 Tama Royalstars have been transformed to a beautiful gloss black as evident by the attached images - I'm
sure you'll agree. Until the next kit... Thanks! Russ DiBella

Pictures sent in (November 2005) by Michael Razo of Orange, California of his
Slingerland marching snare drum. Great pictures Michael!
Michael writes:
Hello Jammin Sam, I have sent you pictures of a circa 1970's
Slingerland marching TDR snare that I currently rewrapped using a wrap from Jammin
Sam. The whole process was extremely easy and I am very happy with the results. May the old school Slingerland live
again!!! Thanks, Michael from Orange, CA
We would like to feature your drums with our wrap here.
