If a Seam Lifts After Cure Time

If after the cure time, a seam appears to slightly lift up, we suggest using a small amount of "crazy Glue Gel" or "Super Glue Gel" to fix the problem. The brand is not important, but the word "Gel" on the packaging is. Use a cotton swab to spread a thin amount of the glue just under the wrap that has lifted (while hi-bond tape is in place.) Be sure not to get the glue on the finish because it will permanently mar it. We suggest using masking tape to tape-off the over lap and under lap area at the seam (if the clear plastic protective top has been removed.) Once the crazy/super glue is in place, use a 1" x 2" board and 2 C-clamps to clamp down the seam– place the board up on it's edge (not laid down), directly over the seam– place any bend in the board toward the wrap. Allow to dry overnight. If you have any further problems, just give us a call.

Cleaning & Caring for Your New Finish

To keep your recovered drums looking like new, use a window cleaner and a soft 100% cotton cloth to clean dust off the finish. Never clean the material with a dry cloth or one that is not 100% soft cotton. Take care in caring for your new finish, because once a scratch is made, there is nothing you can do to remove it. Drum cases are always recommended for new drum finishes.

Send Us a Picture of Your Set for Our Website!

Send us a picture of your set (preferably more than one) with your new JamminSam drum wrap and we may put it on our web site.

  • We prefer a minimum number of cymbals (to none) in the picture, and bass drums with front logo heads are most desired (but not necessary).
  • Close-up pictures tend to be desired over pictures that include room characteristics and non-related objects (on stage pictures, outdoor, etc. are also desirable.)
  • Please also comment on your experience doing the project and include the brand of your set and any unique characteristics.

Your picture(s) placed on our site will include your name, city, state, and all or a portion of any comments. (Note: Grammar may be corrected.) All photos sent to us become the property of Sam Barnard/Jammin Sam and are only used for drum material display purposes. You can send actual pictures (and comments) to us through the mail, send a disc, check the last page of the printed instructions (that came with your kit) or call us for an e-mail address to send them via email. We would love to hear any comments about your experience with our products. Thank you.
