Vintage Blue Onyx Pearl

We now offer Blue Black Onyx pearl. The Onyx colors were first
introduced by the Rogers drum company in the early 1960s. Rogers
called it "Blue Onyx". Because we offer two blue
onyx colors we have renamed this one to avoid confusion. The
Slingerland drum company in the later 1960s followed the Rogers company by
offering this color, calling it "Blue Agate Pearl". Even
though the Slingerland drum company sold more drums than Rogers, the
Rogers drum company is more associated with this color. (See History
of Drum Wrap/Pearl Wrap History)
This finish is made for us at the same factory that supplied Rogers and
Slingerland. This material is made 30 mil thick (30/1000 of an
inch), which makes it more durable and long lasting. Give us a call
if you would like to get this incredibly 3-D looking finish for your
drums.
