More Pink Vintage Sparkle
Pictures sent in (February 2009) by Roberta Haworth from Millington, Tennessee of her Gretsch drum set. Another awesome job Roberta!
Sam, Here are pix of my kit – all of which were re-wrapped using your pink sparkle. The snare, 14″ FT and 12″ tom were done in 2004. The pieces I just finished are the 20″ BD, 16″ FT and 26″ BD. All of the drums are vintage Gretsch except the 26″ Ludwig BD. I couldn’t be happier with the results!!
[Also] Here are pictures of the 1965 26″ x 8″ Ludwig marching bass drum I recovered in my favorite color, pink sparkle! Originally, the finish was black diamond which had faded to an almost avocado green due to (presumably) many hours of direct sunlight. Well, it is no longer a marching bass; I use it as a remote bass drum and set it up like Stanton Moore does.
This isn’t the first project I have recovered using your wrap… I recovered my Gretsch set (pink sparkle of course!) and now I’m working on a couple of old Gretsch shells I got off of eBay. Thanks for the expert advice regarding removing the wrap off of an old Ludwig — everything went perfectly, and now the drum sounds and LOOKS fantastic!!! Thanks again for your expert advice, friendly customer service, and great selection of products!!
