Pictures sent in (January 2008) by Howie Friedman from Plano, Texas of his Leedy drum set.  Great looking pictures Howie!

Howie writes:
Sam and staff:,  I recently acquired a three piece Leedy kit (14x22, 16x16, 9x13).  All three drums are stamped inside the shells with September, 1961 dates.  The original wrap (champagne sparkle) was very faded, cracked, and peeling in many places. [Much of the original hardware was missing.]  I plugged a few extra holes on the bass drum shell, installed a rail consolette using the original holes and proper bass drum hoops.  I'm searching for proper T-rods for the bass drum.  I have a snare drum on it's way to me, to go with this set, and will wrap it to match.  This was my first re-wrap project. Sam made it easy with his online video and printed instructions.  I was skeptical of the tape installation method, but I became a believer after wrapping the first drum.  Thanks to Jammin Sam,
Howie Friedman

Picture sent in (August 2007) by Kevin Christman from Phoenix, Arizona of his Slingerland drum set.  Awesome pictures Kevin!

Hi Sam,  Just finished my mid 70's 5 ply Slingerlands using green sparkle.  WOW ! Are they gorgeous!  Ever since I was a kid learning to play in the 60's I've wanted a green sparkle kit.  Kit is 14x22, 16x16, 9x13, 8x12 and my old 3 ply chrome-o-wood snare with the TDR strainer. Installation was a breeze. There is no "choking" at all of the drums using the tape method. This was SO much easier than using contact cement (like I did with my Gretsch kit). Great product and great service. Thanks for everything!
Kevin Christman

Pictures sent in (March 2002) by Mike Wood from Dallas Texas of his mid 70's Slingerland drum set.  Great recovery job Mike!

Mike writes:
I just got my kit finished with your help.  This was the first kit I had ever tried to recover.  I was a bit leery at first about using the tape method as opposed the the glue method.  First off, the color looks great.  The pre-cut pieces fit perfectly and were all labeled to help out as well.  I've included a few pics on the finished project . . . it's a mid 70s set of Slingerlands in 9x13, 16x16, 16x18 & 14x22.  I have a matching snare as well that is an original wrap.  I think they match pretty well . . .  Thanks again for the help.  I can't wait to do another kit.

We would like to feature your drums with our wrap here.
