This is my 70's Pearl fiberglass kit which was originally wrapped in plain white. They've been in cases in my garage all these years while I've gone through three maple kits, and I was considering selling them when I found your website about four months ago. After watching your wrap video I ordered the White Marine Pearl wrap and a month or so later completed the project. Sizes are: 8X10, 8X12, 16X16, 14X22 bass drum with chrome hoops, and a 6 1/2 X14 chrome snare.  The actual wrapping process was quite simple. The most labor intensive part of the process was cleaning and polishing all the lugs, hoops and hardware. The end result was a bit of a surprise to me; I knew they would look better, but I wasn't expecting to change my mind about selling them!  I've since put these pics  on the Pearl Drummer's Forum website, and have gotten great compliments from dozens of drummers. Some have asked questions about the re-wrap process (one guy thought I'd had it "professionally" wrapped) and I've been happy to fill them in on the Jammin' Sam website and video.  Your products are excellent, the website thorough and informative, and I'm looking forward to re-covering the other seven fiberglass drums. Thanks again.  Mark

Picture sent (4/05) by Alex Johnstone from Morriston, South Wales of his Rogers drum set.  Drums looking good Alex!

Hi Sam, Here are a few pictures of the wrap that you sent to me in Wales - UK.  As you can see, I've fitted it to the Rogers kit that I bought in the early 70's, which was originally Champagne Sparkle.
The reason I changed to [vintage white] pearl was that I recently acquired a Gretsch snare in [white] pearl, which is a carbon copy of the one I had in 1947, so decided to cover the Rogers to match the Gretsch and bring back the memories of my old kit.  What do you think of the job?  The logo is from the Constallation Big Band, where I played for many years retiring only last year aged a young 78.  I still play but lugging a full kit about is really a young man's vocation.  The fitting was made easier with your instructions and even the collets [eyelets] went in easy with tool supplied.  Best regards and thank you for your prompt reply and service.  Alex Johnstone.

Hey Jammin’ Sam, The quality of the wrap and ease of installation was just as you guys said it would be. All of the tips and guidance
offered by Jammin’ Sam made this project an absolute success!  I couldn’t be more pleased with my choice of wrap and the ultimate outcome. The set you see here is what was salvaged from a full double bass monster kit purchased at a pawn shop in Carson City, Nevada. The kit was a mixture of late ‘60s and early ‘70s Ludwig and Pearl. I’m a jazz guy so I ended up keeping 1 – 22 x 18 Ludwig bass, 1 – 16 x 16 Ludwig floor tom, 1 – 12 x 8 Pearl tom and the 14 x 5 Pearl snare. All of the shells were spray painted matte silver over the original Silver Sparkle wraps to give them a matched appearance and they were a mess! As you can see now…. They are totally restored with your “Vintage White Pearl” finish to bring them back to the original look of the time. Thanks to you Jammin’ Sam, I get a lot of admiring commentary on this one of a kind Jazz Kit.

Jammin Sam's Wonderous Wrap Revives "Frankie"
Dear Sam:, Over the past few years I had collected drums from various manufacturers which sounded great but resembled the Frankenstein monster esthetically.  When I found your website, I was very apprehensive about attempting to re-wrap my drums- until I viewed your terrific video.  Wow, and it truly was that simple.
Now, as you can see, "Frankie" has been revived and lookin good.  You have a user-friendly excellent product that truly gives professional results.  I'm sold!  Terry Trovato

Greetings Jammin', This is my custom drum set with Ludwig hardware.  This is the 3rd set I've done with your wraps.  I'm really proud of the way this set looks with the Vintage White Pearl.  I've always wanted a set with this color.  Thank you for offering this piece of nostalgia for drummers like me.  Putting the wrap on is a synch.  I love the antique look!  Mike Pickel

We would like to feature your drums with our wrap here.
