Hello Sam:
This is my late 1990’s Yamaha Stage Custom drum kit. I originally bought it back in 1999 as a 5 piece shell kit, with a dark blue lacquer finish. I just recently began playing again and decided to expand on the kit by purchasing add-on toms through websites like eBay and Reverb, but was unable to find matching colors. I wanted to stay with the original Stage Custom look, so I decided to buy old Stage Custom drums in whatever color I could find in the sizes that I wanted, and would refinish or wrap them once complete. After getting quotes from a few local companies on wrapping them, I decided to do it myself with Jammin Sam’s JS Black Sparkle. It was a relatively simple process and saved me a lot of money in the long run, especially since I’ve added a few more since my initial purchase: a new (used) bass drum and 10” snare after my initial order. The JS sparkle is a great look for a great price – I get a lot of “WOW’s” when people see the kit for the first time.
