More JS Copper Sparkle
Pictures sent in (January 2021) from Chet Bell of Bloomington, Indiana of his 1960’s Slingerland drum set. Very classy Chet!
So first off Sam, I was ecstatic about how the wrap looked! It was the right choice for me.
So my Slingerlands were 3 orphans. The 15″x12″ floor tom (which used to be a snare), was stamped in ’64. The 22″x14″ bass drum in ’65, and the 13″x9″ tom was stamped in ’66.
They all of course, had different wraps, and I was planning for a full restoration. I had some difficulty picking exactly the wrap I wanted. Sam and I spoke on the phone and he helped me narrow it down. I am truly ecstatic that I ended up going with the copper sparkle. The interesting thing, I was considering gold sparkle. But it often has a very orange-ish tint. But as you can see in my pics, this copper sparkle looks very gold. So I was very happy! I think they look quite classy. A big shout out to Sam for all of his help!
