Sam, Closeups of my homebrew 14″ x 5½” snare; I’m going for a’40s-ish vintage look and sound, though period accuracy is not a major goal. The colors and contrast are spot-on on my screen, but the images don’t quite capture the depth of this wrap: it’s very lush looking. Building my kit a drum at a time, all similarly wrapped; the next is a 28″ x 14″ bass drum.
I’ve done business with Sam for years on and off, and everything is always correct, so he’ll have an order–and more photos–in the near future.
p.s. If I may add, the lugs are Sam’s American Classic double-end snare lugs. Great hardware!
