It took a lot of work to get that filthy old Slingerland with missing hardware back in order, but it was worth it. I got them re-wrapped and they look marvelous. People go ga-ga over them, and other drummers are drooling over them. To me, “Slingerland” will always mean “White Marine Pearl,” but even though the chrome cleaned up beautifully it’s 50 years old and worn, and the bright WMP (which I did a modern drum set in) would look out of place. The antique WMP has enough of a yellow to it to make it look right, without being overdone, and the wrap just looks beautiful – looks RIGHT.
